On December 10 2024, the "Paris" Gallery will present my fourth solo exhibition, titled "Game." Thirty-six ceramic sculptures will be showcased, some of which are uniquely adapted to hang on walls with frames.

This time, the theme is play. As Homo ludens (the Playing Human), we deeply understand the importance of play in our lives. We begin to play from the moment we are born—unconsciously and in a completely natural way. However, play is essential for our physical and mental development. Our entire life is a game—sometimes simple, other times more intricate—but it is through play that we communicate, enjoy ourselves, and feel exhilarated. Through play, we mimic, imitate, pretend, tease, compete, disguise ourselves, become someone else—and we love it. Play is irrational and transports us to another realm, where it unfolds, fostering our imagination, relationships, and emotions.

It is precisely this creative and improvisational process that Isabel Nemechek reveals in her new and specially crafted works for this exhibition. Clowns with playing cards, chessboards, juggling balls, drawers filled with toys, magicians, kites, butterflies, stars—everything carries its playful dimensions. Life is beautiful, curious, surprising, and exciting precisely because of the play within it.

3. SOLO EXHIBITION GALLERY PARIS

   03 - 23. December 2022

"In One Boat"
The project is implemented with the financial support of the National Culture Fund, Bulgaria.
https://ncf.bg/bg

Izabell Nemechek's third solo exhibition is entitled "In a Boat" and consists of thirty ceramic sculptures specially created for her.

The theme "In One Boat" reminds us that we all share one home, one land, one air, and the more we are united and together in all trials, the better able we will be to overcome them. We will be more concerned and empathetic towards each other, we will be ready to share and we will save each other through love. The "In a Boat" ceramic itself shows people in a boat holding hands, waiting for something good to happen, and even if it's not good, to welcome it together as one wall. This call for unity is so painfully necessary for us today, when we live in a time of division, when viruses, wars and disasters want to destroy and divide us, when love grows colder and we grow more and more alienated. And it is precisely in this crisis that we must remember that we are all in this boat and if some people are ill, others cannot be well...
All of Isabel's sculptors exude kindness, goodness, an invitation to friendship. So clearly you can feel the story of each character - whether he will have landed on the moon or run after kites, or will be carrying spikes, balloons and flowers, or simply dreamed in the distance as a young man, but the story flows, and the viewer sees and empathizes with it.

Izabell is an author who is extremely consistent in her path as a creator, develops constantly and never stops looking for new and new messages through her art. He shows his works outside of Bulgaria, takes part in many exhibitions in the style of naivety and does not stop creating.

With this exhibition, Paris Gallery wishes all art lovers and connoisseurs a Merry Christmas and let's not forget that we are all in the same boat!

Naive and intuitive art is a living, active phenomenon in the global art culture today. It is also called “art of the holy heart”, “art of instinct”, “untreated”, “modern non-primitivism”, “free of canons”. These definitions emphasize his emotionality and spontaneity. Nowadays, when naivety in life is so rare, the naive and intuitive art of painting occupies a special place. This is due to the unique ability of artists to immerse us into a world of carelessness, naivety and spiritual purity. Despite the fact that artists in this field of art are not numerous, the creations are full of something that is often lacking in most other areas: the good mood. Without being influenced by the traditions of art, these artists rely on their personal experience and create paintings reflecting their memories, desires and dreams. The themes they choose are often related to their childhood, the place where they were born, the environment in which they grew up, the daily routine and festive occasions, but also cover political, historical and social problems, not to mention fantastic utopian worlds. Thus naive artists are distinguished by original and unique stylistic independence.
